INDIANAPOLIS- The Wright State women's soccer team received three Horizon League honors as the conference announced its yearly awards Friday afternoon.
Caitlin Burger was named to the All-League First Team,
Samara Nunn was selected to the All-League Second Team, and
Kaitlyn Eyink was voted to the All-League Third Team.
Â
Burger earned the first All-League honors of her collegiate career following a breakout junior season. Burger was one of three players to play and start in all 18 matches for the Raiders. She is tied for the team lead in points (11), goals (4), and leads the Raiders with two game-winners. The midfielder netted goals against Fairmont State, Louisville, Chicago State, and Robert Morris. Burger's goal against Robert Morris was a game-winning penalty kick that secured the Raiders a spot in the Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship.
Â
Nunn earned the first All-League honors of her collegiate career following a stellar senior season. Nunn played and started in 17 matches for the Raiders. She is second on the team in goals (3), assists (4), and points (10). The forward netted goals against Bellarmine, Central Michigan, and IU Indy. Nunn's best match of the season came at IU Indy on September 25 when she recorded a goal and an assist in the Raiders' 3-2 win.
Â
Eyink collected All-League honors for the second time in her collegiate career, being named to the All-Freshman team in 2023. Eyink was one of three players to play and start in all 18 matches for the Raiders. She ranks second on the team, only behind fellow defender
Zara Graff, in minutes logged (1410), playing all 90 minutes in a team-high eight matches. The Findlay, Ohio native anchored Wright State's back line to six shutouts, including a stretch of four in a row from September 7-21.
Â
The Raiders clinched the No. 4 seed in the 2025 Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship and will host No. 5 Green Bay on Sunday, November 2, at Alumni Field. First touch is scheduled for 1 p.m., and
